  • I have at maximum taken 3 doses per disease. I am also increasingly getting concerned about continuous injection of the vaccine.

      Polio.

We didn’t live through it though.

Guess what? We had to do this before. And we’ll have to do this again the next time a big giant pandemic happens. That’s how medical science works. You learn.

I’m sorry that you don’t understand history or basic medical science.

Also worth mentioning the early Polio vaccine was only ~60% effective and was still seen as a medical miracle. It was gradually improved to >99% effectiveness through iteration.

The smallpox vaccine had much more significant side effects and potential for complications than any of the COVID vaccines, and yet we used to to completely eradicate the virus.

@zantesQ - I'd agree that the conversation around what our public health goals are and I've been disappointed with the CDC's messaging throughout the pandemic -- they continue to try to come up with universally applicable guidelines and continuously change them without first pushing the reasons for making those changes.

A lot of this is the consequence of zero-context sound-bytes being the only way some information gets distributed as well as how polarizing the simple idea of public health is to the libertarian right. And all of this getting amplified by internet outrage makes it more of a 'tribal group' decision on what guidelines to follow than an individual or goal-driven one.

I am triple vaccinated but this booster shots every couple months is starting to seriously irritate me.

I had serious side effects after each shot and was down couple days after each.

Not doing this shit again unless they tamper down the side effects or make the intervals more reasonable like once a year.

  • So far 90% of the vaccinated + boostered people I know have caught covid in the last two weeks, and they've spread it to other vaccinated people. I don't understand why they push the vaccine like it's going to stop you from catching covid.

Sure, it might improve your odds of living but those odds are already pretty high...

It not only increases the "odds of living" it turns a 2-3 week illness that kicks your ass into a couple days of a bad cold, and decreases the time you're contagious.

  • My roommate has covid and is boosted to the gills. Only good thing about US right now is tech salaries tbh. They’re gonna keep milking this, ppl in power only want more power.

Vaccine was worse for me than covid I can’t do that shit again.
