You don't have to go to every event someone invites you to. But if something looks interesting, now's the best time to check it out. You'll never have more spare time than now.
Don't assume people know what they're talking about just because they're senior, popular, or famous. Be polite and respectful, understand what they're telling you, but think for yourself. If there's a flaw that everyone else has learned to ignore, you might be in the best position to notice it.
You'll be reading through a lot of documentation. Fix broken wiki pages as you encounter them, and if you have to figure something out because it wasn't documented, document it. You'll never have more time or energy for that than you do now.
Contribute as much to your pretax 401k as you can afford.
If you're stuck on a problem, and it's been more than a few hours / days, talk about it with someone, even just hearing yourself explain it to someone from the beginning can be helpful.
When you ask for help with something, explain what your end goal is (the problem), not just how you're trying to accomplish it (the solution that isn't working).

Have regular 1:1's with manager. Your manager will ask some one to mentor you. Don't hesitate to seek their help.
