I am in my early 30s as a Principal Lead PM at Microsoft. I've always wanted to get an MBA but I don't think I need it for continual advancement. I can either stay here at MSFT or head to another large tech company/Pre IPO Startup. I've done both in my career.
I generally enjoy working with larger teams and scaling organizations though I've also found myself pretty good with corporate politics.
Any advice for me?

plenty of words how good is he and then
“where should we move folks and why? please explain to me because I have no fucking clue”

As others have pointed out, the main reasons for an mba are a foundational business background if you don’t already have it and to build a network. You should be able to check both boxes at Microsoft or another startup.
How do we gain foundational business background if I am senior SWE?
If you don't need one for career advancement or career transition, it's a lot of time and money just so your parents can say "My kid goes to Stanford GSB".
