Got an offer from Plaid last week.

Role: Tech / Engineer
Yoe: 6
Level: E5 (maps to L6 Amazon)
Location: Remote
TC: $365k (recruiter mentioned we can work on breakdown later)

How does this look? Any room for negotiation?

Current TC: $200k

Edit: I’ve read couple of posts on Blind where candidates tried to negotiate and Plaid rescinded the offer.

I negotiated my base a good amount without any other offers. I also agree that we’ve never rescinded an offer for this reason. I have seen the people who claim this on blind though. I assume they must have egregiously failed the background check or was found out to be racist or something like that.

I doubt based on my interactions with the interviewers. But I could be wrong.

Always negotiate. The top is determined by how badly they want you and your other offers. In the absence of other offers you're screwing yourself out of 15-30% typically but I can't speak to your case
