Test engineer in Windows team (in SD) 95k base / 25k bonus / 40k RSU 1 year exp, current TC 92k (in AZ) Am I being low balled? Thinking to ask for 105k base and 80k RSU. Please suggest.
Stay in AZ
Do the math for how much you'll need to have the same take home pay after expenses in SD. That's the minimum ask for you to make this move worth it financially. If you desperately want to leave, the math is a little different
This is standard Qcom new grad hire pkg. asl for $100k base
Is the 25k a signing bonus? If so, you'll also get another 10% to 15% cash bonus this time next year as part of the annual review process. Do note that your RSUs will have a 1 year cliff and they won't start vesting until February 2021. They'll be granted in the next quarterly grant in February 2020.
Always negotiate! Having other offers would help. Same level modem is getting everything same except for base ~103
