How is Qualtrics for Product Managers? Company culture as well scope for PMs. TC: 300K
Eng manager here: the culture is sales-y in general (lots of hype from senior leadership) but eng (in Seattle, at least) is less so. Our eng leadership is made of down-to-earth leaders, largely from AMZN. PMs aren't very common here yet, so you may have to convince the eng team of your value. That being said, many of us know we need good PMs. I'd be thrilled to have you!
Thank you for your insights, super valuable.
Would you recommend a team I could target? I know there are teams dealing with each of the product lines like Core XM, Employee XM, as well as Platform teams that span across product lines? Does company encourage internal mobility?
We do have some pretty common (in a good way) internal mobility options. Though, your boss will be aware if you’re formally trying to interview internally. You can’t go get the job then tell your boss. Having said that, the average employee tenure is minimal since were growing so fast (fewer than 2 years tenure per employee) so moving around isn’t that common since people haven’t really been in role long

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
Didnt get a good impression of the company.. lots of mediocre people thinking they are super top tier talent
Is this from your interview experience? I had a good interview panel, at least they had a good vision for the product but I wanted to get some perspective from folks who have either worked or are currently working in the company.
