Is Qualtrics a good jump from Microsoft? Comp is 30% more. Given the market condition, seems like Qualtrics would be more susceptible to downtrend if there is a crash in next 2 years Yoe-7.5 Current tc: 220k
It's not that 30% is bad. It's that you can do WAY better than that from Microsoft, especially with 7.5 YOE. Although Microsoft has bad TC sometimes, its exit opportunities are exceptional.
With 7.5 years, you should be interviewing as an L5 with us which would be ~350k TC plus refreshers every year. If you're not getting an L5 interview with us, you should find another place to interview that will
L5 is senior?
What role?
Hey can I ask for a referral to qualtrics?
Hopefully you haven’t sold your Microsoft shares so you can enjoy those gains while taking a risk at qualtrics. Win/win
Stock seems to be on a downward trajectory, also recent share dilution does not help

What are the exit opportunities at Qualtrics? Is it easy to make a move to reputed companies (say FAANG) without being downlevelled?
Nice research! It seems most of such exits are at junior levels though. Couldn't find a lot of senior / staff / principal exits to sought after companies.
Yeah definite downlevel at FB/G. Although I think the more important thing is if the learning is going to be useful.
Here is my experience moving from Microsoft to Qualtrics. With the growth in Microsoft stock and the drop in Qualtrics stock, comp has evened out, I might have been making little bit more at Microsoft. However, the ownership, accountability and the work that’s impactful at the company level is liberating. The experience for working in a mid-size company is much different than working for a behemoth like Microsoft. IMHO, different experiences would lead to your growth as a professional. Keep learning to keep earning.

I know this is an old post, but wondering if OP moved to Qualtrics and how the move went?
L5 is not senior in certain teams it is a glorified team lead role. Unfortunately Qualtrics doesn't live up to its own hype and has a real problem with culture at this level. If you are still interviewing run.
Really? Ouch. I wa just contacted to interview. Senior level comp at Q is still better than MS, but that stock price...
Again L5 not senior. It's mid level mgmt. Stock price is in a free fall and snr leadership have no clue how to stop it. L5s+ leaving left right and centre which is why recruiters are so active. You will regularly do 10hrs a day plus, get burnt out, and be sitting here in a few months asking, what are my options to move back to FAANG like so many other posts from Q employees who have made the move.
I moved from Microsoft to Qualtrics. Here's my experience, the work, wlb, is very different from Microsoft. Qualtrics is much more aggressive in work, ratings, etc. Microsoft is more of rest & vest. Q stock is unreliable but might have huge upside as well. Overall weight recommend moving to Q from Microsoft. You'll get better options
Should I be worried about @qualtrics stock?
