(cross-posting in Tech Careers for different audience) I got an offer for Quantitative Researcher at Citadel and I'm considering if it's worth to go to finance for the long-term (I'm a SWE in tech now). Does someone know what's the median TC for someone with 5-10 yoe as quant researcher (especially at Citadel)? Also I heard Citadel fires people super easily. Is that much more than e.g. Facebook SWE?
Don't get ahead of yourself. Citadel isn't easy to get into, especially as a quant. Edit, misread, nvm
Why don’t you post your offer before asking?
Offer tc pls

Google CFO confirms 'large-scale' layoffs (Apr 17)
Your base will be 150-200k and then bonus can be 50%-200% of your base it just depends the first year will prolly be slow and then once you show value, it is up and up. Also a lot of the times they will measure your value based on how much you contributed to bottom line revenue
For someone with 5-10 yoe on the job? That's actually not much more than Google/Facebook then. 150-200 base + 50%-200% bonus = 500k TC. Good but not worth all the extra stress
I would think he will learn how to fish in the markets well and dont even have to work for anyone after few years.
