Hi Blind, I received a phone screen for a full stack position at quicken loans. I am mostly a backend guy but made it past 2 HR phone calls and have phone interview coming up. Recruiter said technical but did not talk about coding challenge or anything. What to expect? I checked glassdoor. Seems OOP and some behavioral. This is for a position in Detroit. How is WLB there? GC Policy? TC : <100K
Work life balance is excellent in technology, flexible schedules, if you're in an on call rotation it's not too often and it's fairly spread out on the team. For the phone interview that's with the manager they will ask technical questions like walk me through a time that you had to debug or if you were creating an app from scratch what steps works you take or which tool would you use to solve this specific problem. I've heard a manager ask what sql query will get only first name of books purchased in the last 30 days if given a table with first name, last name, book purchased quantity and price. If you put it on your resume, be prepared to discuss it.

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
it will be a very easy coding question involving tiny logic and refactoring.
Thanks. For the phone round? Recruiter did not mention coding challenge or be near computer
Not for the phone round. For the online assessment.
