Just got reject from quip. Though they said feedback was positive but there were some glitches in laptop n whiteboarding n they will pass this time. Bar is really really high. I answered every question, though in one round interviewer gave me hint to think in graph terms but i was thinking in different direction, later i wrote the code well. Overall i dont want to rant, but i loved the experience n will improve more on coding n problem solving means more leetcoding. I have fb n google onsite next week. Hope to do better. Any quick tips, which i might have overlooked?
Their product is cool but you're over it
Do some mock interviews before your onsites to get feedback on what’s lacking
Graph algorithms? Seriously? Quip can't even get an image modal to work properly. You didn't miss out on anything.
Honestly, getting a graph algorithm question shouldn’t make you think the bar is high. It might even be a red flag tbh. That seems like pretty bad way to asses someone’s ability to contribute to a document collaboration tool. That’s not to say interviews should be easy but why???
No graph question is easy but bar is high because i got reject even answering all questions
I don’t understand quip. Why is it better than any other kanban board+docs combination? Can someone please explain
OP so most of the coding questions were in leetcode?
Not even one but leetcoding definitely helps as mostly concepts are same so if you master from there you can solve new questions even
Quip is a POS product. You didn’t miss out.

If they gave you a hint, that interview was a negative. That said, I think Graph questions are stupid. I knew all of that in college, but most devs never actually use any Graph Algorithms.
Even giving hint means i am screwed for that round in google??
Most devs never actually use any of coding questions from Google’s interviews. Are you saying Google’s interviews are stupid too?
