I have thought of quitting my first job out of college since the beginning.. due to unsatisfaction towards tedious work and micromanagement. and I have an interview soon which is a very lucky thing for me. Cuz I know companies don’t favor people with a less than 1 yr experience. But I feel very guilty about quitting so early and afraid of telling my manager as I hate to disappoint people 😭 how did you guys quit a job after a short period of working and tell your manager at the end? the situation is little serious cuz I have been crying everyday since the first day so i think I will quit even if i hve no offers. Man life is hard.

Do remember that they will remove/replace you in a heartbeat if needed. That makes things easier. Be grateful for what you learn and move on. No point in sticking around if you are unhappy. If you feel unhappy, I'm certain others in your team can see that too.

Agreed with this. No one cares about you except for you. This is true and took me a long time to figure that out. Focus on what you want to do and go for it. If it’s not at Sonos, leave but leave professionally, ie line up another job and once you have it, give them 2 weeks notice. That’s the usual thing to do and no one should give you crap about it. If they do, it’s just to mind F you.

With 1yoe, I'd make sure I had an offer in hand before leaving. Edit: misread, this is if the other offer comes through. In that case, (A) remember that for the company this is all business, (B) you have to do what's right for you. If you actually like the manager and are grateful, express that. Otherwise, just be professional about your exit.
Would taking a contract role be a stupid idea?
It's certainly a much better idea than leaving without some job in hand. FT or contract to hire would be better, but you at least are continuing to out experience on and avoiding a gap in your resume. 2-3 years of experience, even if it's a bunch of contractor gigs will make it a lot easier to keep getting jobs.

In terms of happy vs unhappy at work, after 20+ years in tech, I've had jobs that I was happy with, jobs I was unhappy at but it was a shit economy (2001!) so I stayed with them, and jobs I wa unhappy at and left - including one I quit without a new job in hand (but I had 16 yoe already and 2015 was a pretty darn good time in tech)

I quit a job after 1.5 months (another job lined up) because it was an awful experience from day 1. It was a combo very inexperienced management and no mentor (1st job out of school). Didn’t feel bad at all, since they could let you go at any point. Do what makes you feel comfortable, but at some point you need to stay somewhere longer than a year.

Just tell your manager. This is a good experience because it is uncomfortable but you’ll get over it. Your manager will too.
