Don't stress about ramping up quick as Google is massive and very complex. Generally 6months at the minimum is expect to get your bearings around the codebase and tools, etc. Just take your time and ask for help often.. lean on the more experienced Googlers.

Chances are you'll be working on something you haven't really heard of so just try to come in with some solid fundamentals and willingness to learn. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the thorough advice. Would you mind elaborating on what you mean by solid fundamentals? I'm not quite sure if I have that as of now..

Would also depend on your team. Ask your recruiter / hiring manager what to brush up if you have free time.
