I really want to take the Reforge growth course however I don't want to pay for it out of pocket. Curious as to which companies sponsor continued education expenses like this. I've heard LinkedIn, Salesforce and Oracle do. Is that true? If so I will prioritize those companies a bit more when recruiting cuz I really value self improvement and professional growth

Yes. As long as you convince your manager that it's relevant to your job/interests and can produce a proof that you have passed some evaluation tests.

Is some sort of test or certificate required for reimbursement at Salesforce?

Amazon's paid for a $5k course that was relevant to my field, you need to get management approval.

They also allow taking a broad range of AWS related courses for free anytime as long as you're scheduling things so you're finishing your work on time, I've done a couple of these that are externally offered for $1k-$2k.

What's the progress for an individual course? Is there a max cost allowed before I have to pay the rest?

  • You can get it reimbursed at Salesforce IF it’s on the list of approved institutions. The course must be directly related to either what you’re working on. Payments are made only after validation of diploma.
The approval process for a course that’s unlisted in the approved list goes through multiple levels of approvals, not just your manager, before you can actually begin.
