How do you practice on Leetcode? Do you practice by writing your own solution and then peeking for best answers? Or think about best optimal solution and then peek and then code the same? Some medium and most hards are just too difficult to even think about.. Also do the likes of FB, G etc only care about most optimal solution?

Never thought after 8 yrs of experience, have to go through this😫.. but 💰 is a big factor!😇

I found Leetcode to be less effective for companies like Google. Though it's effective for FB.

And now you've puzzles disguised as so called coding problems. Nice!

No. Now it's a lot easier and a lot more predictable. Giving puzzles and theory problems is seen as elitist and unfair to most undergrads and diversity candidates nowadays. It's also not practical when you're trying to hire thousand of people as opposed to a few hundred.

Don't think of it as 8 years of experience, but rather consider it 1 year of experience repeated 8 times. If you managed to get a job at a real tech company, you'd realize I wasn't kidding.

I've 17 years of experience and still doing it. I guess that's the cost of being an IC all your life.

I mean the interview questions. Same leetcode-style problems now as before?

No, the problems have grown in difficulty significantly. A few years back there was no leetcode. It took me just a month long prep. Before that it was just 2 weeks.
