What is Niantic Software Engineer- Server/Backed or Server Infrastructures role

Hi,

I have been contacted by a Niantic recruiter for a Software Engineer- Server/Backend and Server Infrastructure role. I was wondering if someone can help me understand what is this team or what kinda work is this?

I’m a backend engineer (application/software) and Niantic’s role sounds more like SRE/DevOps or team who mostly develops internal tools to support developers and projects.
