I’m in Seattle after a year or so and I’m astonished at its state. There was always a homelessness problem but it was pretty isolated to 3rd area. Now there are literally homeless tents on every block. This place is just as bad as SF with shittier weather and less things to do. All this plus the ridiculous rent prices why would anyone wanna live here?

  • We live in a country with no social safety net, what do you expect? Healthcare here costs double and housing is out of reach for hundreds of millions of citizens. Black rock is gobbling up every last morsel of land so we can all be happy living in a renters economy until the day we die. You will own nothing and be happy, brother. Capitalism is beautiful

      Do you really think throwing money to the government in the hope of having a "social safety net" BS is the solution? You sound like AOC. Those BS just invite more and more illegal immigrants to this countries, also more homeless because heck why not, other people like you and me are forced to pay the bill so that leftist politicians can buy their votes.
      We need a smaller, more nimble government instead of a hungry monster trying to waste every single tax dollars

      1. All big cities are liberal, regardless of the state they're in. You think Houston and Dallas don't have homeless people?
      2. The west coast big cities have more homeless people because the climate is generally livable outdoors year round.

      Agreed. But I prefer to call them leftist. They have great compassion for criminals but not the tax payers. And for anyone advocating for universal healthcare, go to Vancouver Canada, pay the hefty tax and still enjoy watching homeless people invading every corner of the streets.

  • Bellevue downtown has great potential to become the Seattle rich people always secretly wanted. No tents, no camps, no loitering, clean, expensive, lavish, high paying jobs, good roads, access to lake, close everything at 9pm so everyone can goto bed on Fridays 😆
