Currently a PgM. Reached out by Amazon recruiter for Sr. Product Manager non tech. If I get an offer, should I join Amazon if I don't have core product management experience? I have seen many MBA hires gotten Sr PM role there with little to no previous product exp.

YoE - 10
TC - $220K

Go for it. Pgm is very tactical role and at some point you want to consider switching to product role to improve your TC/skills. It might be hard transition, but you’ll learn a ton and you can make it with a good mentor. Good luck!

    A) no way you went from first contact from a recruiter to an offer in a day b) the comp doesn’t line up for non-tech product L6 and

But just in general, as an L6 you won’t have much guidance on what to do. Program is typically tactical and very business driven, however switching to product you’re going to be expected to work ambiguously and drive large product decisions completely on your own. The reason you see the reputation of Amazon being a PIP machine is because the hiring bar is relatively low and we don’t mind firing if the relationship doesn’t work out. Don’t oversell yourself and get fired.

$220k is very less and you have to work 16 hrs daily to get 5,% hike. I would avoid joining amazon.no social life.
