I have accepted offer from another company, joining will happen after H1B transfer etc. I just realized i will get 190 stocks of intel on May 2nd. if i resign before that, do i get any stocks prorated ? or i will lose all of them. currently it looks like i will miss it by about a month. any suggestions ?
Yikes. I’d suggest to delay the transition but if the H1B transfer has been submitted it’s probably too late. Should have not accepted the offer that soon, or you could have negotiated into the offer. At this point there’s probably not much you can do. Wouldn’t hurt to bring up with the new company though, although the chance may be slim. Good luck
Thanks. Yes I proved I am dumb
How much time H1B transfer takes ? I have not submitted H1B docs. New employer requested some details for background check
If the new employer submits premium processing (which I’m not sure if is still possible) it takes 3-6 weeks I think. If it’s not submitted yet maybe you still can ask to start later.
Wait just looked up the stock price. 190 shares are not that much comparing to what you’re get from joining the new employer. May not worth delaying the transition.
What's your current tc at Intel and what's the new tc?
Current 163 (non bayarea) new 236(Bay Area)
That's like what, 7-8k after taxes? Sucks, but not the end of the world.
Pretty sure it’s all or nothing.
