How does FB RSU vesting work? Let’s say TC is 200k/year. 100k base, 100k RSU. Will the 100k RSU start getting paid quarterly within the first quarter after joining i.e 25k is vested 3 months after joining or do people have to wait whole year? If you wait whole year than how can you plan monthly expenses like buying better home, car etc as those are fixed expenses etc. TC: 243k YOE: 8
After 3 months
Cool, so basically one would see the 25k after three months. That is nice, especially in cases where you see folks getting 300-400k RSU/year. That is a nice chunk of change.
It used to be a year cliff. Guessing that has changed?
That is what I am concluding based on an individual that appears to be with Facebook.
Yeah - this changed a couple of years ago. There used to be a 1 year cliff
Fb RSUs vest 4 times in a year - Feb 15, May 15, Aug 15 and Nov 15. There is no cliff. Which means that you'll start getting stocks on these dates once you finish 3 months in the company.
TC YOE?
