I guess im more just venting here, but does anyone else get stuck feelong regret when they make a good financial decison with their RSU’s? We have massively long black out periods (60 days I think). The smart thing I know is sell when you can, put in a diversified portfolio (ETF’s Vanguard, etc..). AND I know I shouldnt complain...BUT...it still is hard psychologically to sell at the last time for $210ish, and then see a massive run up in the stock and not think “fuck, I’m missing out on X dollars”.
No. I don’t regret not trying to time the market.
That's why people never sell stock.
The market is on fire in Trumps economy.. dont sell
Why would "sell when you can" be the smart thing...?
Diversification
Poor answer. Can still achieve without selling all holdings.
The rest of the stock you're holding appreciates right? It's not like you don't benefit on the gain. You could just as well have lost money.
Hindsight is 20-20. It’s never easy.
On Sep 29 2000 AAPL lost 52% in one day...
Autosell?
No, I can take respond for my own decisions and have a high degree of rational thinking ability.
Yes this is a common psych problem. But dont hold it unless it is the stock you would buy....
