Offer evaluation compared with long term goals - need opinions
I have 3 offers on the table, which is a great to place to be in during these times. I was recently laid off from a cloud data engineer consulting role, and I like consulting because you get a lot of experience in a very short amount of time. I am heavily certed in the cloud space and that where i would like to take my career. My long term goal is to be a Solutions Architect on the professional services side for one of the major cloud providers. A little about the 3 roles
1. Statefarm - the role is within a group that effectively serves as internal consultants for projects that are moving to the cloud. I would effectively still be a cloud data engineer / DBA.
2. Wellsfargo - data engineering role primarily on Cloudera cluster using 100% spark. I would effectively be a spark developer. No cloud stuff at all.
3. Deloitte - I would be in their analytics and information management group. Probably doing everything from some cloud stuff to general analytics and data science work.
My background before the cloud space was statistics and analytics. All offers are around the same comp wise 120k. The wellsfargo role doesn't really get me closer to my end goal but out of statefarm role and Deloitte role which one gets me closer?
