If you want US-level pay and excellent WLB in Tokyo, try Indeed Tokyo. We have a large tech office here and the culture is great. PM me if you want more info.

WLB is ok. Compensation is trash unless you can lick the CTO’s ass all day like the Singapore office does.
Expect less than half of what you are making. WLB is good but attendance is strict. Can’t be late, meaning show up at 9am, or else they dock your pay. Every Monday you are expected to attend mandatory CEO all hands at 8am. No show means less money for you come review period. Just read the Glassdoor reviews for Tokyo...

Pretty sure that’s for contractors only since they’re paid hourly. Never heard of that for regular staff, and I worked with a lot of doods who turned up late a lot
