If I wanted to live in Raleigh and work in Analytics/Business Intelligence - what companies should I look at?

Awesome new startup called Pendo is revolutionizing Analytics, also look at LexisNexis who have a large presence with Machine Learning, and Citrix or Cisco. There is a ton of tech in the area I moved here from FL after looking in the area for just 3 days. I moved with 5 offers from those 3 days of interviews

Thanks, I'd love to get to Asheville but I could live with Raleigh.

@10b6n4l Yea. They opened an analytics shop in one of the new towers at North Hills. For some of the senior level positions I’ve been quoted $300-400k base + healthy bonus structure (Director/VP titles - take those with a grain of salt. Analytic team hierarchies tend to be a mess and titles often don’t mean much. I’m still a bit junior to compete for those gigs yet but it’s nice to at get considered at this point). Also Spoke to Citadel not too long ago about an entry level data engineering role and they didn’t even bat an eye when I tossed out a range of $170-200k to test the waters. Had zero interest in working for them and thought that would scare them away but they seemed very comfortable at that level. Worth pointing out/taking into consideration that salaries in the area as a whole tend to lag begin NYC and the Valley as our cost of living is significantly lower.

I am relocating to Raleigh from NYC (Currently living in Jersey City). Can someone give me an idea about the expenses for a family of 4. 2 Adults and 2 kids under age of 5. What's the best places to live if my office is in RTP area. Also what would be the best places to rent? FYI, I am an Indian and would prefer a mixed neighborhood around. Also what would be the best place to buy an apartment where I can get best education for my kids as well as a good neighborhood which is safe and children can play out and mingle with other kids. Thanks in advance

Triangle area, RTP has some of the best schools and universities. Great place for growing kids and vibrant Indian community with many cultural activities going on throughout the year. Coming from NYC, People specially indians like this place v much. If you plan to rent, you can easily find a 3 bedroom townhome under 1800 dollar a month while other expenses are low. Everyone commutes to office by car, so that may be a change for you
