What role and location? Any cool perks Disney offers to its employees?
Updated the post You get a few cool perks - Park passes - At least 2 tickets distributed twice a year - office has snacks - Standard benefits like health and 401k are alright
Also, some out of the box perks, I got to watch Loki 3 months early as part of a focus group. Randomly selected though, but cool if you’re into Disney content.
Looks solid. Nice sign on. Some parts of comp are formulaic (ie - the equity % etc)
Did you negotiate? If so, how did you negotiate? I also got a Disney offer recently for Senior but lower signing bonus and lower base, and higher equity.
DM me for deets
is it with Hulu? those look like Hulu numbers because disney studio does not pay that much. the offer is solid!
Solid. 100%
For 8 YoE in tech (Sr SWE) if you live in LA or Seattle it seems low.
My 8 years have been in smaller companies and startups. Does that play a factor? Maybe if it was FAANG for 8 years, then yeah?
Yeah.. might be a factor. I guess the first 3 years are solid. I genuinely do not know a lot about the tech in Disney and career growth for SWEs (I am also a Sr SWE) .. have you asked and read posts here in Blind? Disney + sounds interesting and I like the content ;) but Other than that I would not be passionate about the other stuff. Congrats btw!
For parks, products, studio: very good offer--that's principle/director level w/o the exec comp package. For anything tv/streaming (hulu, espn, d+, DMED): lil below average for bay/seattle area, fair for LA area. For brand/publishing/international: good (if you're working with the NY teams). Overall for 8yrs is: good. Me: my 'dna' is in every division there, just not me, lol.
Op - If you can please let me know the interview process and also the LC level for coding rounds.
for me, leetcode medium, 3 rounds
For me, screening was LC medium. Full loop was 5 interviews. 1 LC easy + behavioral, 1 LC medium, 2 behavioral (systems deep dive), and 1 Java language internals.
8 YOE? is this non tech?
Looks like Sr SWE
