This applies to all drivers for postmates, uber, everything. When you rate your driver if you rate anything under a 5 star it's basically asking for that driver to be fired. Once we go below a 4.7 rating we are suspended, basically fired.
That's one fucked up ratings system. What are the rest of the stars for? I don't think the platforms do a good enough job surfacing what stars should mean.
Five means everything was acceptable. Four means a minor problem, three means something serious enough to "never give me that driver again", 2 or 1 means totally horrible experience and maybe unsafe. In practice - 1 means the driver turned the passenger's offer of sex down (I am male, and only slightly above average looks - but the drunk gals try all the time, sometimes their self-esteem is crushed cause they had to buy their own drinks and then when they ask the Lyft driver to come in their house and he says no, they're crushed.)
That’s ridiculous. Why don’t they just switch to “okay” vs “not okay” if they’re going to force a binary distribution anyway?
That's what a lot of people keep asking for but they aren't listening
Not True.
I’ll just leave this right here...
4.5? Good they lowered that. That's a bit more reasonable
The cutoff varies by city since people rate differently in different places.
It’s kinda based on a percentile and varies between cities. I don’t know enough to discuss this but it’s a pretty fair system and implemented for safety reasons.
I completely agree but I think they should educate their customers on how the rating system works and what their rating means
This is news to me.
