I have paid the deposit for new construction 4 bed 4 bath townhome in Hayward CA
Could not bid in Fremont and Union City since the bidding war is going crazy. Also I dont have much down payment so cannot overbid.
Hayward is equidistant from SFO, SF, Milpitas, San Jose
Is Hayward an upcoming hot property market for affordable housing?
Note: No kids, No concerns for schools in the district for next 3-4 years
I was looking for a lesser maintenance newer and bigger property

“Ok” neighborhoods I’ve seen personally are: Whitman area, Santa Clara (by the post office), longwood - winton grove area, Eden shores, Southgate
Stay away from: Gading, Mannon, Schafer, Patrick, south Hayward Bart, Tennyson Ruus Park area, harder-Tennyson area
Schafer and Eldridge School areas can be hit or miss
This is based on my experience growing up (2000’s). Things may have shifted or changed.
I just paid off my student loan, trying to just put a step in owning a property
