Hello, I have been out of the corporate environment for several years to be a fulltime mom and it has been difficult to find a job. I have a MBA in IS and have been in IT for over 15 years. I was a programmer, system admin, and tech/application support. Any suggestions on how to transition back into the workforce?
Some companies offer returnships. You can try applying to those.
I recommend to join a coding bootcamp for women. You can refresh your skills and network with others.
Coding bootcamp or a certification training might help.
Workday offers Returnships. Great company for parents :)
I returned to the workforce after a five year break. Take courses, ramp up technically in your field of interest...Apply to companies with openness to restart your career as a beginner...I was a manager before I took a break, I chose to join as a beginner and have since climbed my way back. It is tough, sometimes demotivating... however persistence gets you through.
Apply for jobs. Interview well. Go to work.
