Did anybody recently interview with Google engineering manager role? Experience? Total comp?
Dynamic programming. Google on-site interviews always have some asshole who like to ask that type of question.
I did a little over a week ago. 3x behavioral/managerial and 2x system design. No coding. Edit: 20+ yoe (13 as manager, 4 as manager of managers).
Prep help? How did it go
How was your experience and what was the outcome
Got thumbs up from interview team but stuck on team match for over a couple of months now. It was 1 coding, 2 architecture, 2 management/leadership. It was not very difficult. Spent over a month on coding, reading up on leadership/management, going over some of management failures/successes at work. Being confident, friendly really helps when you are going in for a management job, more so than an IC level job. I might give the team match one more try before giving up on it.
How did you prepare for system design? I don have infra background and this scares me a bit..
How was the phone screening done before the onsite ?
