Recommendations for private LTD and life insurance

I want to do a private LTD and life insurance that is not tied to my employer. I also want to make sure I have a good LTD insurance that can pay me till retirement if I become disabled and cannot perform my job. Any recommendations?

Also, what happens if I have LTD and life from my employer and also a private one? Will my family get both life payouts? In case of LTD, I guess it only makes sense to have one. #insurance
