Hi, I took an Account executive role, and have been working it for a month now. My recruiter told me it was going to be $55k base and $56k commission making it an OTE $111k. When I signed the contract it only had base stated. Now that I’ve been in the seat for the month, I’ve learned that the commission At 100% target is only $51k making the OTE $106k. I don’t plan on quitting but the salary is the reason I took the offer compared to a competitor. If you were in my shoes would you bring this up to your sales manager or the original recruiter who works at my company.
Uhh, there was an offer letter before you accepted right? What were the numbers on there? Doesn't matter what the recruiter says, if what you're getting paid diffs from the offer letter, you have grounds to contest.
Why AE is making so low? Is that for Servicenow? What’s your role?
Why did you sign a contract without a clear explanation of commission structure?

If you don't threaten to quit, you have no leverage to get it fixed. They'll probably just say too bad, deal with it.
