Ok maybe it's not broken. But sheesh. My house was valued at 900k per the estimate a few days ago. I had a generic street view photo on it. Then I took a nice photo of the front of my house and added it to the home page. Today I checked the estimate, it's up over 100k vs just a few days ago. #housing #redfin

  • Unlike Zillow, Redfin changes historical estimates as time goes by.

    Not trustworthy in the least.

    Trust a good realtor and comps.

    its useless. i used to like redfin and still look at it for details but now I follow zestimate to get the trend. redfin not only abruptly change their estmates but also smoothen out the curve as it their prediction was always so accurate they never had to jump 60-90k

    Did you list your house? The estimate gets bumped up by 10-20% when your house have certain amount of views and become “hot”

    I don’t think so. It may be just coincidence. Do you think if you put old picture will the house price goes down ?
