I was keen to apply for the position of Software Engineer at Airbnb, Paris. Following is the position link: https://careers.airbnb.com/positions/1586624/ Can someone please refer me? A little bit about me: I am currently working as SDE 2 at Microsoft R&D with 5+ years of working experience, mostly into back-end. In my career span, I have won 2 Innovation Awards and 7 Hack-a-thons.
Agreed. Winning hackathons isn't a testament to one's engineering abilities. But winning hackathons tells a lot about a person's ability to innovate.A 24 hours hack-a-thon is not just won by good code but also a good idea. That's why I felt, it was worth mentioning. I believe we all are good engineers in pursuit of being better. Yes, these hack-a-thons were team event. But I have worked in 3 different companies and won hackathons in each of them , with different team members.
I think 'want' would be more appropriate.
Can someone please refer?
If you haven't found anyone to help you, pm me.
I’ve referred a lot of people here, and it seems to make 0 difference for the candidate’s prospects

I don't want to be *that* guy but unless the hackathons were individual (most I've been to have been teams), winning a hackathon isn't a testament to one's software engineering abilities. Even the individual ones are absurdly political. I don't know anything about innovation awards, those might be worth mentioning.
