FB, GOOG, AAPL have the best refreshers. What are the other companies that have good refreshers that match on-hire grants. Zillow has a decent refresher. MS is terrible. How is Dropbox, Uber, Salesforce, AMZN, Snap, et al.
Where there is little WLB, you will get refreshes. Even in companies which don’t have refreshes, if you work hard you will get refreshes.
Tableau is ok. Used to be better. Average refresh for a senior is about 50k.
Salesforce doesn't give too many
How much do they give? Can you quantify it?
No unfortunately not I just started recently.
At Two Sigma instead of RSU you get a cash bonus and for anyone meeting expectations it goes up every year. So no 4 year cliff.
What goes up? Like a cash + stock combo?
Bonus is an unspecified % of salary. I've seen from 50% to 150%, though it comes out to be similar to an equity grant.
Ebay and paypal have great refreshers
What are Zillow refreshers like?
I joined adobe as a new grad. I received 35k/3 for year 1 and 50k/4 for year 2
Uber refresher goes 100k x 1-2
Salesforce amongst these has worst (or none) refreshers. Most stingy when it comes to TC

Do you really think Amazon is that bad
Not having good refreshers incentivized people to move on after 4 years.
I do not understand the financial sense at those companies with poor refresh. The cost of replacement of those who leave after expiry >> cost of lateral hire + biz disruption. Why not refresh better? What am I missing here?
Even if there’s refresh new hire still wins with extra initial grant
