Just got a reject from Amazon and recruiter told it was very close call. I am very tired of listening this. Is this normal way to boost candidate morale after rejection or actually it was close call?

Any insights?

  • I got two reject from Amazon from different teams. I prepared a month more and got offers from LinkedIn and Google. Just dust ur failure and keep grinding. Interviews are mostly luck. U will land up better job

    Keep at it. If it was close, they were probably inclined to hire on our behavioral stuff but you had some gaps technically. Wait 6 months and give it another go.

    Suck it up and move on. Amazon is not only the company to work for.
    Have confidence in your skill set and improve so much that one day Amazon (and other big companies) will come after you to join them.

    I have been there. I used to lose my morale similarly. I started taking day off , spent quality time with family and went back on job roulette.

    They usually don’t say that it was a very close call unless it is one. I would consider that as tough luck and would be open to interviewing again after a year or two
