Shortly after the phone screen (within a day), I received a rejection email. It basically says Amazon doesn't provide feedback but hopes that I had a good experience. It also says that they encourage me to keep my Amazon.jobs profile up-to-date, and stay engaged by joining their social media groups. Is this just the same standard rejection everyone receives? It didn't mention any cooldown time or stuff like that. Does it mean I can already start applying for other roles? I am asking this because I believe the role I applied for has already been filled before I even took the OA. Not long after getting the OA invitation email from Amazon, the position that I applied for was archived with the status updated to "No longer under consideration". However, I completed my OA normally, got to the phone screen, all done normally. In the final phone screen confirmation email, there's even a link to the already archived position. I haven't done any interviews with big techs yet, and I'm very confused. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?
YOE ? And experience ??
I’ve rejected many candidates at phone screen, and seen them recycled to other reqs - and vice versa, screened many would had been rejected by other teams. I’ve never seen a cooling off period following a PS, so I would take the advice at face value and keep applying.
don’t waste time on miscellaneous stuff, the main point is you failed the phone screen, so there is still a long way, the onsite is a day long and tougher. So keep practicing and apply around, there are more companies out there. According to my experience, when the time come, amazon recruiter spam your email more than you can handle
