I have been having multiple interviews, one of them with facebook which I was working hard towad. I had my phone interview, solved the first question explained it well, took my tome explaining the solution for the second question, didn’t finish writing the code, but I was almost done, the part that is left was so simple. the interviewer interrupted me, said “your solution is valid” she said it’s the end of the interview, only time for questions I was applying for E5, I felt so good about the interview, a week later recieved a call from the recruiter saying, the interviewer says “you have struggled with the second question and that is a red flag” I was frustrated, as I have worked so hard for the interview, the wuestion was so easy, I was just taking time explaining my solution. I don’t want to blame anyone for my failure, I should have solved the problem faster instead of taking the time to explain, but that was the fristrating part, it was so easy 🙁 TC:120k#leetcode#facebook#faang
Yeah that is how it goes sadly. Maybe everyone else solved it in half your time, ofc they will pick everyone else
There is also much of unfairness going on inside the company, maybe just any company. Let it go, take this just as noise of life. If you focus on the important long term goals, you will succeed one way or another.
Thank you, I will keep practicing and preparing I will hopefully share a success storylater
Consider it a blessing bruh.
How many problems did you solve to prepare for FB?
I don’t know how many, I have taken couple of courses to refresh on CS fundamentals and basics, solved problems there. About 20-30 Leetcode problems About 40 hackerrank problems Focused on solving problems in my week (almost never used areas) Focused on code design problems and so on
Can u share the questions with us ?
Sure, they were so easy One:- Return true if the array is just increasing Or just decreasing Or sustained the same value Else return false Two:- Evaluate the algorithm string (has only addiction and multiplication signs) Like “3+4*6+6” Ans maintain the highest precedent
They are easy though! The second question can be done by stack
I just failed my FB interview as well. Sometimes it's for the better
How many yoe you have?
