Need help to understand how to handle this situation. I had a phone interview with recruiter and HM and both went excellent. Then I was asked to do behavioral interview with third party. After that interview, recruiter told me that i am not a good fit. 3 weeks after that, recruiter reached out to me asking if I am willing to come for onsite interview. Is this a red flag or they had someone in mind but it did not work out ?
What's their reason for inviting you back even after rejecting you? Sounds like the company is desperate for people. Think twice before joining them. They already made a presumption that you won't be a good fit. They will be prejudice against you once you start working for them.
I didn’t ask recruiter about what changed. If they are prejudiced, why would they pay for on site flight and hotel stay ? Any thoughts?
Maybe it’s recognition that behavioral is bullshit and they liked you otherwise, so they are going to get a feel for your personality first hand during the onsite. Don’t be elitist or a prick during the onsite and you’re good. Show them you’re a good fit.
They use third party to identify if candidate has behavioral traits they are looking for. I was told it is pretty much black and white and HM cannot override third party assessment
Maybe the recruiter mixed you up with someone else.
That is unlikely as I reached out to recruiter via phone next day I was rejected. She explained me politely that I did not do well on behavioral interview
Why was your behavioral so bad? Are you not a team player, are you a jerk, did your ego not fit in the room, are you reclusive, ... take some time to be introspective and reflective.
Wth. Who would outsource behavioral interviews to a third party? I would run away just based on that op.
Seems like someone sold them really good on that . I was thinking the same . But they said this process has worked for them so far
Culture fit isn’t something you can outsource, unless their culture is super shitty.
It is time for your to give them a behavior interview and find out whether or not you're a good fit.
DM for behavioural coaching. I can help!
Can you dm me
Can you dm me too?
Tell the recruiter that its a very bad “behavior” to ghost and then surprise outta nowhere to judge u on behavioral grounds !

How can I find success dating in NYC
Usually companies won't outright reject you if they are waiting on a response from an offer. If you still like the company, I don't see why you shouldn't do the onsite if you have the time. Worst case you get some practice, best case you get an offer.
This is good approach. There is nothing to lose by doing on site
