Offer details: Bloomberg new grad Software engineer 131.5 base + 10k relocation + 13.5k bonus I know that renegotiating the offer is not a ethical and I'm not planning to do so but I just want to know what kind of consequences can I face if I do so?
Says Glassdoor because they will have to update their Bloomberg salary data point. And fuck that sucks.
Be prepared to lose the offer and possibly blacklisted from working at bloomberg. Not the worst thing in the world. Do you have a strong alternative?
I have an interview scheduled with Google but Bloomberg wants me to accept ASAP and Google will take at least a month. In the offer letter Bloomberg has mentioned that "you should be advised that if you accept this offer of employment and subsequently revoke your acceptance prior to your start date, you may be required to repay to Bloomberg any non-immigrant visa processing fees". I am not sure what kind of fees they are talking about.
Avoid turning down their offer and ask for more time. Come up with your own reason.
You have a better offer? Serious question what is your leverage here? I'm one year of experience ('17) I can help.
No I do not. But I have interviews scheduled. I am not sure how seriously should I prepare for them.
Easy. Do them. If you get higher TC reneg on Bloomberg and negotiate the offers you have. You cannot renegotiate, don't even try. Just get more money elsewhere.
I've rejected multiple offers after accepting them yolo OP.
You can also work there for a few months and switch. Google may take really long with team matching and all that.
sounds reasonable. thanks!
Accept the offer but don’t do H1-B visa transfer. Say that you are going out of the country and will be back in 2 months.
It's my first job out of college and I will work on OPT for some months. So, I don't think they will apply for h1B before next April.
Is this returning intern offer?
I really hope they withdraw their offer, you are unbelievable.
What made you say that? I haven't even accepted the offer. It's not a crime to get all details before signing the offer.
The title says rejecting offer after accepting it...
