I'm about to reject an offer from Google. I've read here that the offers can be valid for one year. How can I do that? Should I just ask the recruiter to keep the offer valid? Offer TC $520k
Yes
If you’re seriously declining that, I’m also curious as to why. Being on blind long enough has made me a pessimist...people too often like to post things like this to get pats on the back and praise, sadly.
What's the point of interviewing at google if you're gonna turn down a top-tier offer from them anyways? Why are you declining?
That looks good offer. I rejected lowball offer a year back. But they never said 1 year valid. In the contract it says 5 day valid.
Maybe OP doesn't want to work for an evil company 🤷♂️
What level is the offer for?
Hard for me to think of having an offer valid over a year from an operation stand point. If I hired someone else and you respond to the offer one year later. What am I suppose to do?
This is why Google does not hire for a team. Their hiring process is generic.
They will always have a need for solid engineers at any level.
No just give it to me
Recruiter mentioned it to me when I turned them down. His words: if the other company doesn’t match your expectations, feel free to shoot me an email. The offer is on the table for another year. I have not followed up (yet), so not sure how valid/true this is.
What happens if they won't suggest it?

Not an answer to your question... but why? That is great TC (and level as well I’m assuming) for Google, given that they downlevel and lowball candidates
OP likely has better TC and overall offer/work elsewhere. Google downslots hard.
