While many companies are publicizing their newfound stance on being remote-friendly, I’m curious to know which companies are actually allowing Admins to be 100% remote. Or rather, does your company claim to be remote friendly but still want you on-site? It seems this particular population might be falling behind and required to RTO.

  • This will be extremely rare at Microsoft unless you are a BA/EA for a team that is fully remote. Not an EA, but in BizOps, so work closely with that discipline. As long as people are sitting on-site, admins won't be able to perform the full scope of their role without going in. I mean, I personally think they could probably get it done only going in a few times a month, but there's no way a BA with folks physically working in the office gets away with 100% remote.

GitLabs and Dapper Labs are two companies that stand by the model of a fully remote company.
