Looking for a 80-100% remote role but they all seem to be for customer support roles. How can I find a full time remote role that's with a reputable tech company, as a W-2 employee (not contractor), and has a strong career trajectory? 10 YOE Targeting base salary of at least $150k Not an engineer, but am technical
Strong career trajectory and remote don’t usually go well together...big part of career trajectory is based on connection and relationships
100% agree here. That's the realization I'm starting to make. Any recommendations if I settle for "okay" career trajectory?
It would seem ideal if you prefer to live an easier life than do extreme FIRE. I'm also interested in something like this but my role makes it very difficult.
Check out DigitalOcean? Very remote based company.
Thanks!
Search for this on Blind. Been asked quite a bit. Gitlab, Github, digital ocean, remote.co, angel.co
Thanks!
Solution engineers aka PreSales engineers aka sales engineers can be fully remote. You may have to travel though. If you don’t want to do any travel look into remote Solution Architect roles.
I don't have an engineering background, do these roles generally require that
Don’t need an engineering background at all.
I'd check out zapier and redox - 100% remote
I'm 100% remote, no travel, as a ServiceNow developer. I love it, but do understand the face to face gets you promoted. I just hate office life and commuting with a fiery passion.
Where are you located?
Check out Auth0. I almost took a remote job with them. Seem like a good company.
Cisco is almost all remote for many positions. Been working from home for 10 years with the occasional customer trip.
