I’ve heard that Goldman doesn’t provide laptops for people to WFH with. This is true? What are people’s WFH setups at Goldman like?

From personal laptops?
View it from the opposite direction. You're Goldman sachs. You're finding people who know both tech and finance, saving tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars by paying less than they could get elsewhere just for their tech skills, then additionally pinching pennies by even making them buy their own laptops. It's kinda crazy to pay someone hundreds of thousands of dollars per year and then skimp on the $50/month of tax deductible expenses employees expect to get during wfh.
