Trying to find a decent house under 500k without too bad of a commute and Renton seems like a good option. What's the commute like from Renton to downtown, namely to Dopler? Are there any Amazon shuttles from Renton? Any other areas you would advise me to look at? Trying to keep the commute under and hour and preferably not have to drive..
Where would you recommend
Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek. We just moved to Lynnwood and by bus, if u time it right, it's only 45min
A decent house under 500k ? Five years ago called, they want thier fantasy back.
In Renton it's very possible.
Renton commute really really sucks. Have you looked at Columbia city or shoreline?
Exit 6 on 405 to Doppler by the 111 bus is about 45 min when I leave in the morning.
What time do you leave?
That's not a bad commute, what about coming back? Similar time?
I am in Renton / Kennydale and work in Day 1. The 111 bus is the best option for me. Morning commute is 30-45 min, afternoon is about 60 -75 min (has been 90 + min. at times).
Try Snoqualmie. Commute is about 40 mins, plus there's a shuttle. Plenty decent houses around 500K.
Columbia city is what I recommend. A lot of convenience there. Nice restaurants and bars. Tons of buses and alsoa light rail there
A little late to the party, but I’d highly suggest SW Seattle, I.e. Burien, White Center, South Park. Vibrant community that’s transitioning from being relatively low income. There’s good blocks and bad ones, so make sure you have a knowledgeable real estate agent. We bought a remodeled 1929 4bed 2 bath, on 1/3 of an acre for 430k. Great neighbors and phenomenal restaurants.
Which neighborhood?
No shuttles from Renton. That commute will blow. At minimum 1.5h I would say unless you leave real early/late. Also, Renton is kind of ghetto.
Can't be that bad with Link.
Link is an hour from angle lake
