Research Engineer is the same as Machine Learning Engineer
Role-wise. Because most research is ML research because that’s what is marketable. change my mind TC: 160k + smoke and mirrors

Research can be ML based but certainly not all research is ML. aB test etc are more stats than ML.

A lot of the work that a ML engineer does is not research-related.
