What questions can one expect for this position? How to prepare well for the position? I am a masters degree graduate aiming for this position and working very hard - Leetcoding to get to the par of this levels requirement. Need your advice on this...
Have one offer of Senior ML Engineer and thus trying to get Amazon to make an offer as fast as possible.
Is the company still waiting for you to accept the former offer? Wondering how do people manage getting multiple offers keeping all of them open? I was given 5 days to decide on the offer.
Yes they are waiting
If you are leetcoding and can code well, you really want to be considered for an Applied Scientist role not a Research Scientist role. Research Scientist at Amazon doesnt really write code or build real models.
What would a SDE do then if applied scientist also code?
Then what should one be focussed on
NLP, machine learning, statistical fundamentals, deep learning, current research/leading edge approaches, and (if going for AS role) leetcode easy/medium. And of course leadership principles are key.
Do applied scientists spend most of their day coding? Why do their interviews involve so little coding?
What is the difference between applied and research scientists at AMZ?

11 offers to laid off[UPDATE]: 5 offers
It’s OK for research scientist not able to write a proper for-loop, but it’s not ok for AS, all depends on the role and team.
Amazon principles is something I have gotten to understand thoroughly and provide examples from my background where I demonstrated those principles.
@on one what does SDE do on a team with 1/4 applied scientists?
