    Lol, new grad.

Step 1: Clear G phone screen.
    Step 2: Clear G onsite.
Step 3: Move protos for 1 year. Change UI for another year.

Then think about Swe in Google Brain.

Yeah, like get in line dude. OP thinks, I clear interview, I work on fancy gradient descent, I use that as a pick up line to get chicks. Reality is all you would do is run a flume job which keeps on crashing and write design docs for showing how to add 2 numbers in the most complex way possible.

Randomized gradient descent is a reasonable alternative to genetic algorithm in most cases. But as a social flex, that's pretty damn weak. For the crashing flume jobs, is that because of the low eng quality relative to focus on research prototyping?

Research SWEs are very competitive positions. Most of them that I work with have their PhDs.

If you want to be competitive without one, you'll need to either have lots of publications in ML conferences or side projects that have lots of impact.

For Google if you join as new grad. You will be loweballed for sure. But if it's 🧠, take it. You work for your future not TC.
