I am trying hard to move out of software dev. Any research positions at FAIR, MSR, Twitter, Airbnb, Dropbox or any ML lab. Please help me out with referrals/any open roles in your team. It's been 3 months of networking and applying everywhere, no calls.
YOE: 1.5 years
ML experience: NIPS publication, 2 years full-time research experience.
Education: MS in CS from Top 5 in US.
Areas of expertise: Reinforcement Learning, Bayesian ML, Deep Learning.
Coding: Can write solid code in Python, GO and C.

Moving internally would definitely be the easiest thing, and it would help bootstrap you to outside positions if you wanted to leave. Unfortunately you may be getting passed on some positions for not having PhD and light on publications (NIPS is good but lots of candidates publish several times in grad school). Personally I have a PhD and I think they're overrated, but not having one makes it harder to get hired in some roles
