If you are in tech just buy If you are in tech just get https://thetechresume.com/ It costs 1/10th the cheapest consultation package. The author gave me and others at Uber a copy after we got laid off and man this was the most solid advice I got. A guy paid for resume services ($400) and said it was nothing compared to this. All of us following the advice saw more interviews. Though with Uber on your resume, not that hard ofc.

Resume services are run by content writers and career coaches who have never been tech recruiters or hiring managers.

If you would go with resume writing service, make sure to check the person offering it has actually been a hiring manager at a tech company.

  • It really depends on your current profile and roles you are targeting for. If someone knows how to make a good resume or already has a very good profile, resume making won't add much value.

It adds value when you are trying to move to FAANG or say transition from tech to PM roles. One my friend did take a 250 USD service and was able to land some good interviews and finally cracked Apple. I had helped one my friends transition from Dev role to Amazon PM role, and we had almost worked for a week on this resume, and it really helped him with the shortlists.
