Hi all, Need you feedback on this. Base: 140k RSU: 90k over 4 years Signing: 15k I have a bachelor in computer engineering and a master's degree in electrical engineering. I have 2.5 years of experience. The position is SWE in the HW department (Silicon Validation). I feel like this offer is very low on RSUs and signing bonus. Thanks
That’s 🥜
That's what I thought! Will ask for more!
But wait you’re HW, what do you expect
It's a SWE role In the HW side.

Will ask for more!
Unfortunately no.
Op, How was the interview?
Very good! Did 4 Interviews with 4 different teams (I spent a whole week for on-site interview) and got 3/4 of the teams to move forward with an offer. I had to choose the team before I got any offers
That’s a new’ish’ grad offer.
Just curious how is it working as a software engineer within a hw focused team?
From what I hear, hardware divisions pay lower for all people in the division, even software engineers. With that said, your offer still looks below average, and I’d use competing offers to hold more leverage.
Unfortunately, a SW role in a HW org != SWE tc. There’s just not as much competition for HW people in the valley. If you wanted to make more money, you should have selected a team that works on shipping software. If I were you, I’d take the offer. Apple is a great place to work and there’s really no stopping you from switching roles later. You’ll learn how to ship a product here. It’s a rare skill that you can’t easily get at other places. Plus you’re young and there’s a lot of room to grow and get a bigger TC here. Hopefully you didn’t burn any bridges with the other teams though
