Does anyone know what TC to expect for Riot Games - software engineer (mid)? 7 yoe.
You can just ask, they have to tell you the bands in Cali now
Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to know what the bands roughly look like at that range and some ballpark numbers to go along?
Not for mid, they've changed rapidly in the last little while so my info is out of date
Depends. When I started at that level from Associate, I was around 180k TC (150k salary + 30k ssp). I don't know the bands but I would be pushing for close to 200 with 7yoe. Cheers
SSP being their bonus structure. Base amount is based on level and individual performance. Final payout has company performance multiplier applied. Historical multipliers have ranged in mid 1s to mid/high 2s (1.4x-2.7x), so a 30k Target would have paid 75+. Note that payment is in annual tranches paid annually up to three years out depending on the company multiplier.
Thanks for explaining. I think they do explain it now when they give an offer but it's great to have an explanation going into negotiation.
Yeah recruiting does a good job of walking candidates through (I'm a hiring manager). I wish the system was less convoluted but do think that it creates potentially compelling actualized TC (vs options/RSUs in non public companies)
For sure. A value comparison versus RSUs would be something nice for folks.
200k or so. Try to negotiate it towards 240k and see what happens
190k total comp as mid level swe right now
What about someone with 10 yoe for a senior level tech leadership position in Santa Monica, CA?
Interested as well!
